Kelly Gloger
Kelly has 25 years of experience designing, installing and selling PV and energy storage systems. He owned Solar Delivered!, LLC in the US Virgin Islands which provided renewable energy systems for commercial, institutional, and residential clients on all three of the US Virgin Islands. Kelly moved to Asheville in 2015 and attained NABCEP certification the same year. In 2016, while working for SolFarm Solar Company he designed and installed the largest residential microgrid in North Carolina at the time (75kW+150kWh). After 9 years at SolFarm Solar he joined Rhino Renewables in Asheville. Kelly began his own microgrid consultancy firm in 2024 and says “I believe we all have a moral obligation to be good stewards of the earth, its resources and to do our best to pass on our only home in good shape to future generations.”

Keith Thomson
Keith is the owner of MountainScape Information Services, Inc of Asheville providing information systems support to small business and professional offices. He is a Systems Integrator and project manager whose extensive client base over thirty years includes ISM, Inc. and the Garren Creek Volunteer Fire Department, both for more than twenty-five years.
Keith is a relentless connector among business, education, engineering and community leaders. He is the convenor of the weekly Zoom meetings. and has led numerous CSMG’s energy collaborations, including college student engagement in conversions of Mobile Microgrid Work Vehicles at Warren Wilson College, University of North Carolina - Asheville, Givens Highland Farms, Christmount Assembly and the Cherokee Boys Club. He coordinated the conceptual Microgrid Design and budget proposal for winning the $5 million EPA grant application for the Cherokee Boys Club. Keith managed a Computer Science student Senior Project designed EV Fleet Telematics System, and the Solar Microgrid energy systems for the WWC student-constructed, energy efficient Tiny House. He also managed energy audits of municipal, commercial, and campus buildings. Keith has been a lifelong catalyst for investments in clean energy innovation.
Our Vision
Since 2019, following participation of our founders in the Technical Committee of the Duke Progress, City of Asheville, and Buncombe County ENERGY INNOVATION TASK FORCE, the Critical Services Microgrid Group has aimed to be a catalyst for preparedness, technological innovation and Microgrid market formation. We drive strategies to save money and lives, and accelerate adopting accountable, cost effective, public and private investments.
Researching, planning, financing, building and operating resilient, Behind-the-Meter and Off-Grid Microgrids will be indispensable to capturing multiple savings and benefits. Integrating free-fueled local energy sources and optimizing energy efficiency to achieve beneficial electrification, decarbonization, cleaner air and water, and equitable rural and small-town economic opportunities are the future.
Honoring promises to achieve 100% renewable energy in institutions by 2030, and Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 cannot be met without vigorous pursuit of these measures.
